Sometimes you find a piece of furniture which has great style and a fantastic body. One such piece of furniture which has been sitting in the garage for almost a year is this one. The buffet has beautiful curved panels and drawers and although the veneering is a little tired it still is a gorgeous piece of furniture.
My colour choice thoughts have been numerous but in the end I decided to go with Oyster in my paint of choice, Australian brand of chalk and clay paint 'Made By Paint'.
Find a good quality paint and there is no need for serious sanding or priming, just choose your colour a quick sugar soap and away you go.
I decided to apply a little dry brushing using Lace, another Made By Paint colour to accentuate the curves. I used Sweet Pickins dark oil wax to add a little age and another dimension to the paint.
